DAY 69 - DAYTONA MARINA BOAT YARD TO ST. AUGUSTINE (53.2 mi.)
Wednesday, July 12, 2017 ~ We left the dock at 7:40 am with clear, blue skies. We had a pleasant 5.5 hour run to the St. Augustine Municipal Marina. After getting diesel the starboard engine would not turn over. We called Brian and he said use emergency start. That worked and we got the boat to its dock. Now the telephone calls began - to Dave, to Brian and to Donny (the Marine Power contact who installed the new engines). We managed to get a mechanic out to look at the boat that afternoon. A breaker on the starboard engine had tripped. He reset the breaker, checked the battery charger, the EMS and the alternator. All were fine. Hoping that tomorrow is better. St. Augustine is very pretty and we find the same restaurant we ate at in 2011 going down the ICW and have supper there. Happy 42nd Anniversary!
